PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography allows me to explore mood, atmosphere, and conceptual expression through light and darkness. Many of the images in this section are captured in low-light environments, where shadow, contrast, and limited visibility become important visual elements. Through these photographs, I experiment with how darkness can shape perception, creating images that emphasize mystery, form, and emotion.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I am a visual artist working across drawing, painting, and photography. My artistic practice is largely informed by cubist principles, where I explore form, structure, and multiple perspectives to reinterpret subjects in dynamic and fragmented ways. Through my work, I am interested in observing and translating the visual world into compositions that emphasize shape, line, and spatial relationships. My drawings and paintings often reflect a cubist approach, allowing me to break down and reconstruct forms to reveal deeper visual and conceptual layers. Alongside drawing and painting, photography forms an important part of my creative process. It serves both as a tool for documentation and as a medium through which I explore composition, light, and narrative in everyday environments. The development of each piece involves an iterative process of observation, experimentation, and refinement. Compositions evolve through the manipulation of line, plane, and spatial relationships, allowi...

PAINTING

Painting allows me to explore color, form, and composition in more expressive ways. In this body of work, I experiment with structure and perspective, often influenced by cubist approaches that break down and reconstruct forms. Through painting, I investigate how color, shape, and spatial relationships interact to create dynamic visual compositions. SOME OF MY WORKS. ARTISTIC INFLUENCES

My work is influenced by African artists who explore culture, identity, and expressive visual language. One of these artists is Malangatana Ngwenya , whose symbolic and expressive paintings reflect social and cultural narratives in Mozambique. I am also inspired by Ablade Glover in terms of color usage  and  Stella Atal , whose work engages with themes of African identity and everyday life through strong color and composition. These artists encourage me to explore form, narrative, and cultural context within my own practice in drawing, painting, and photography.
